Due to the current economic crisis and lack of funding this program is INACTIVE at this time.
This program provides a variety of home safety repairs for seniors. Some repairs included adding a step, fixing a handrail, shoring up loose banisters, and replacing rotten landings. The various kinds of requests we receive under this program may include minor home repairs, issues related to leaks, and other repairs. Most seniors in this area are living in homes or trailers more than 25 years old which are deteriorating around them, and the senior citizens are too old to maintain their own homes. Many seniors are either uninsured or under-insured, so required repairs may not be covered by an insurance provider. Our seniors serviced by this program benefit from safer living conditions and therefore enjoy a better quality of life.
