Home Safety

Rectify safety concerns in or around the home to aid in preventing injury or illness.

Nutrition Program

Supplements the nutritional needs of our elderly that suffer from the inability to pay for food items or can't get to a store.

Ramp Program

Provides necessary handicap ramps for disabled Senior Citizen with emphasis on those with low or fixed income and critical need.

Thrift Store

Habitat for Safe Seniors opened the thrift store in April, 2009 to help raise critically needed funds.

“To provide critically needed services, nutrition, home safety repairs, environmental improvement, and companionship to senior citizens in the Canyon Lake/Comal County Area" has been Habitat for Safe Seniors’ goal since 2004.

We aim to improve the quality of life for the elderly in our area by every means possible, including such services as

-Improve the safety and security of their places of residence
-improving their mental health
-Providing a nutrition program

To be eligible for admission into this program, an applicant must be 55 years of age or older and live in Comal County. Although we strive to assist all those in need, priority attention is given to those at 185% of Texcap poverty guidelines. For more information, please call the office 830-899-2256.
